3rd party apps can implement sending GIF URLs to GIFCon for direct importing. GIFCon will download the GIF from the supplied URL, save it and automatically convert it into an MOV video as well. picTrove 2 uses this function as a way to send GIFs to GIFCon for converting.

GIFCon has a simple URL Launch scheme, with a single launch command and parameter:
